Joining the dots on coronavirus and climate change to help feel empowered in a complex world.

Covid-19 is a global crisis bringing with it feelings of uncertainty or anxiety - much like the climate crisis. Neither of these global issues are directly visible to us - we may experience symptoms of the virus or we may experience intense weather changes, but we can’t see carbon emissions nor can we see see the virus in the air. As such, fear and anxiety are often emotions arising when we talk or  think about these issues, as thinking about the effects can be overwhelming.

We can learn to adapt how we think and feel about complex issues by moving from anxiety to empowerment. This journey begins with exploring the issues to learn more about them whilst practising the skills of critical thinking, systems thinking and empathy to develop a sense of resilience and empowerment.
